An exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive has arisen to become part of a market-leading, established service-based organisation in York. This organisation has been established for over 20 years and their success is largely due to its core values of reliability, customer service excellence and value. A driven, determined and passionate MD is based at the company’s Head Office in York, which is where the role will be initially based. However, with customers based nationally, the company is a multi sited operation.

This company is seeking a brilliant individual, with the drive to succeed, an air of creativity, vision for the future, and an ambitious nature. As a minimum, the successful candidate will be degree educated and have demonstrable experience within a sales environment. Preferably, this candidate will come from a security or military services background, although this is not essential. Although this role is not initially a management role, the MD is looking for someone who has the ambition to be one and build a team around them.

The successful candidate will begin a journey with this company, starting with learning the business and their clients through a proactive outbound telesales approach. Working alongside an existing team, the Sales Executive will begin to work on existing leads and start to build relationships with potential clients. As your knowledge and experience develops, your mentor, who will be providing your training, will become your counterpart with you both covering different areas of the country. This is a long term relationship sales approach and requires full tender documentation and proposal procedures to gaining new business and therefore revenue for the company.

Applicants will have good commercial awareness, excellent communications skills, tenacity and integrity. Ambition will be your middle name! And you will be looking for a challenging career.
