It’s the uncertainty that I am finding the hardest to deal with. The not knowing when and if things will ‘return to normal’.
Someone once said to me during an economic downturn, that it was best to ignore the news and create your own economy, have conversations with a positive reference point, conduct business as if all was good. I guess you could say - where you start is where you finish.
However, I think I need practical steps to get back to normal, even if that is a new normal, this feeling like we have pressed pause needs to finish.
Practical step number one - time to alternate between the garden office and the 'real' office! It has been a challenge finding places for four of us to work/homeschool so I have found myself working from whatever flat surface that was available. The beautiful sunshine of course gifting me a serene and quiet space tucked up in the garden under a parasol.
Don’t get me wrong, there are elements of working from home that I have hugely enjoyed, but myself and the team need to get back to One to One Headquarters; need to start seeing those friendly faces from the other independents in the Eco Business Centre.
Are you ready to go back to the office?
