Morning all, it's time for elevenses..

How are you? Grab your cuppa and let’s catch up.

Another week ticked off in our unusual world; a week of news that breaks my heart, a week where we stood in the streets and clapped as loud as we could, a week where our Monarch and Head of State, resplendent in green delivered carefully composed words, words of encouragement and support, words that will always stay with me. Queen Elizabeth II, what a truly remarkable woman. A woman that will without doubt, live her life by the minute, with every moment of her day perfectly planned to fit as much in as possible. Structure, routine, commitment, resolve, constantly moving forward.

And it is thinking of this routine, this structure, this commitment to move forward and progress that we have needed to bring into our home too. I don’t know about you, but the learning we are making as a family is astounding. Ensuring that whilst work and studying is completed, that time to sit and chat, play games together, exercise and be there for our family and friends via the multitude of video chat platforms is keeping us going. Structure is coming into our new lives; routine that keeps our focus, breaks that help us stay connected, planning for the future that gives us hope. Our diaries are filling up, not with the usual visits, trips, holidays and outings, but with exercise, meal times, video meetings, virtual theatre and WhatsApp calls.

Don’t get me wrong, I still have my ever-growing list of plans for the future, we have places we can’t wait to go when this is all over, but for now, our new routine is working just fine.

What are you noticing that you are doing differently? What will you maintain even when life returns to normal?

I hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and well, see you next Tuesday x
