Hire Controller







Job Details

We are recruiting for a Hire Controller with a mature approach to work within a successful construction equipment supplier in Leeds that specialises in the Hire, Sale, Repair, and Calibration of survey and safety equipment.

Reporting to the Depot Manager and sitting within a team of three you will be responsible for the following:

  • Vehicle route planning
  • Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email in relation to delivery times, hire rates, collections and exchanges etc.
  • Drawing up quotes for customers
  • Booking equipment onto a bespoke system
  • Dealing with customers face to face, resolving issues and prioritising customer requests
  • Using excel & internal hire system
  • Managing customers' expectations in line with the companies’ 'customer first' policy
  • Taking cash and card payments
  • Dealing with customers face-to-face on the trade counter
  • Resilience; to be able to with demanding, construction- based customers
  • Full, clean driving license
  • Good all round computer skills
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • To be able to work in a fast paced, and often changing, environment
  • Presentable, professional appearance to represent the company at front of house
  • Presentable, professional appearance to represent the company at front of house
  • Experience of hire procedures within the construction industry
  • Working knowledge of Syrinx

Hours: 7.30-5pm Mon-Fri

Holidays: 21days plus BH
